AdultSkate

The AdultSkate program is for adults 18+ with previous figure skating experience who want to continue skating and developing their skills.

Who’s it for?

AdultSkate is designed for adults (18+) who have previous figure skating experience and are looking to continue skating recreationally or work toward new personal goals.

To participate, skaters must:

  • Have passed STAR 4 (or equivalent).

  • Have previously been a member of a figure skating club.

  • Be comfortable skating independently.

  • Understand figure skating session rules and on-ice etiquette.

  • Be able to safely recognize and move around other skaters on the ice.

Whether you're returning to skating after a break or have been skating for years, AdultSkate offers a great opportunity to stay active, improve your skills, and enjoy being part of the skating community.

What is AdultSkate?

Our AdultSkate program provides dedicated ice time for experienced adult figure skaters to practice, develop, and enjoy the sport in a welcoming and supportive club environment. Designed for skaters with previous figure skating experience, these sessions allow participants to work independently at their own pace while continuing to build confidence and refine their skills.

There are no scheduled group lessons during AdultSkate sessions, giving skaters the flexibility to focus on personal goals. Private coaching is available upon request for those looking to learn new skills, refresh techniques, or prepare for Skate Canada assessments.

Who teaches it?

AdultSkate is primarily an independent practice session, allowing skaters to work on the skills and goals that matter most to them.

Skaters who would like additional instruction are welcome to book private lessons with Coach Haley during the session. Private coaching provides personalized guidance to help you refine technique, develop new skills, or prepare for Skate Canada assessments
